Transition of Japanese distribution of Diamondback 360 Coronary Orbital Atherectomy System to Abbott Medical Japan LLC

Otsuka Medical Devices Co., Ltd. ("Otsuka Medical Devices") announces that it has entered into definitive agreements under which distribution of the Diamondback 360 Coronary Orbital Atherectomy System ("OAS") in Japan will shift to Abbott Medical Japan LLC ("Abbott Medical Japan").

Otsuka Medical Devices has been the exclusive distributor of OAS in Japan since February 1, 2023, pursuant to its distribution agreement with Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. ("CSI"). Following Abbott Laboratories' acquisition of CSI and discussions between Abbott Medical Japan and Otsuka Medical Devices about the best possible way to distribute the OAS in Japan to the maximum benefit of patients and physicians, both parties have agreed that Abbott Medical Japan will assume distribution of the OAS in Japan.

Otsuka Medical Devices will continue to distribute OAS and provide support to our customers until June 30, 2024. Abbott Medical Japan will start distributing the OAS in Japan from July 1, 2024.
